YES, CHANGE IS POSSIBLE
My name is Kevin Isaac Zeilig and I am a social worker and psychotherapist, with close to 20 years experiencing practising social work and psychotherapy in the province of Ontario.
I have worked for most of my career in mental health, providing both community and hospital-based care and have developed a number of important insights into how to truly assist someone attempting to
recover from serious mental illness, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, in addition to other illnesses including depression and varying anxiety disorders. I have also worked with people who have experienced a major life event such as a motor vehicle collision.
The main techniques I will employ, while working with you, will be from the Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural (DBT) models, as I have specific and extensive training in these modalities of psychotherapy. Overall, however, I would classify my approach to therapy as “eclectic”, as I will draw in techniques from other therapeutic modalities including Narrative, Existential-based and Solution Focused Therapy.
